  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: As I am only a Curate to Xt Ch:1 I have no right in ye Parsonage, I reside in ye Town, have no Lecturer.

  2. Other benefices: I have another Benefice, ye Rectory of West Putford.

  3. Divine service at other churches: No.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Prayers every day, twice on ye Lords day with Sermon each time.

  5. Frequency of communion: Monthly & Festival. Fourscore or an Hundred.

  6. Catechising of children: One of ye Summer Months.

  7. Church fabric: All in good repair.

  8. Glebe terrier: Have nothing to do with ye Terrier.

  9. Number of families: About Three Hundred.

  10. Chapels: St: Giles is a daughter Church, Served by Mr: Nicky.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: No Papists - One Dissenting Meeting house, Mr: Baller ye Teacher.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: One Blue coat schol - some Alms houses under ye direction of ye Corporation. No Library.

  13. Charity: Some Bread given to ye poor under ye Corporation.

    1. Xt: Ch: refers to Christ Church, Oxford. The patrons of the living were the Dean and Canons of Christ Church. The living was an impropriation, i.e. the patron appropriated the revenue to himself, and paid a stipend or pension to the Curate.
